At the heart of invention

A group of students set about solving a problem for their community by creating an invention, yet they ended up doing much more — from unlocking the power of the invention mindset to experiencing the transformative ripples caused by it. One of those students, Katia Avila Pinedo, now champions invention education.

The report addresses legal and policy issues surrounding AI-generated digital replicas, or the use of digital technology to realistically replicate an individual’s voice or appearance.

This latest update builds on previous guidance by providing further clarity and consistency to how the USPTO and applicants should evaluate subject matter eligibility of claims in patent applications and patents involving inventions related to AI technology.

The Strategy aims to grow the economy, create quality jobs, and address global challenges by increasing participation in STEM, inventorship, and innovation among youth and those from historically underrepresented and underresourced communities.
